Destination Guide

Thailand offers hospitality opportunities across Phuket, Koh Samui, Krabi, Koh Phi Phi and resort areas near Khao Lak, especially in food and beverage, front office, housekeeping, wellness and events. Khao Lak is on the mainland, facing the Andaman Sea, and is quieter and more relaxed than Phuket, with beaches, national parks and easy access to Similan Islands. Thai culture values politeness, respect, modest dress at temples and the customary wai greeting. Living costs are moderate, though island housing and transport can be expensive in peak season. Foreign employees normally need a Non-Immigrant B visa and a Thai work permit, usually arranged with employer support before starting work. Candidates should verify accommodation, service charge, meals, insurance, airfare and contract conditions, and expect seasonal workloads, heat and occasional monsoon disruption.
