Destination Guide

The United Arab Emirates is not an island but a Gulf country known for Dubai’s modern lifestyle, beaches, shopping, dining, and international tourism industry. Hospitality jobs are widely available in hotels, resorts, restaurants, theme parks, and events, particularly in Dubai and Abu Dhabi. The culture combines Arab traditions with a highly international workforce; modest dress and respect for local customs are important. Employees often enjoy tax-free salaries, warm weather, staff accommodation or housing allowances, transport, meals, and medical insurance, depending on the employer. Employers normally sponsor a work visa, residency permit, medical examination, and Emirates ID for approved employees. Before relocating, confirm the written offer, benefits, accommodation, probation terms, and recruitment costs. Living expenses can be high, especially for private housing, but public transport and organized staff facilities can reduce costs. Dubai offers an active social life, while weekends are commonly spent at beaches, malls, parks, and cultural attractions.
