Destination Guide

The United Arab Emirates is a Gulf country rather than an island, with major hospitality opportunities in Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Ras Al Khaimah and other emirates. Hotels, resorts, restaurants, bakeries, airlines and event companies regularly recruit chefs, pastry professionals and service staff. The culture combines Emirati traditions with a highly international population; respectful dress, punctuality and awareness of local customs are important. Dubai offers an energetic lifestyle, beaches, shopping, entertainment and extensive public transport, although accommodation and summer temperatures can be challenging. Most overseas employees require employer-sponsored residence and work visas, with medical testing and Emirates ID registration normally arranged after arrival. Candidates should confirm whether the offer includes accommodation, meals, transport, insurance, flights and gratuity. Qualifications, passport validity and verified experience are commonly requested before relocation.
