Destination Guide

Thailand offers strong hospitality opportunities in Phuket, Koh Samui, Krabi, Pattaya, Bangkok and the Khao Lak area, especially in hotels, restaurants, wellness, diving and tourism. Khao Lak is on the mainland in Phang Nga, near beaches and island destinations such as the Similan and Surin Islands. Thai culture values politeness, respect, modesty and calm communication; learning basic Thai is helpful. Lifestyle is generally warm, outdoors-oriented and affordable compared with many international destinations, although resort areas can be seasonal. Foreign workers normally need an employer-sponsored Non-Immigrant B visa and a Thai work permit before starting employment. Employers commonly assist with paperwork, but applicants should confirm sponsorship, accommodation, transport, salary, service charge, insurance and contract terms. Bring certified qualifications and passport documents, and allow time for immigration processing and medical requirements.
