Destination Guide

Thailand offers hospitality opportunities across Phuket, Koh Samui, Krabi, Koh Phi Phi, Koh Chang, and coastal destinations such as Khao Lak. Common jobs include housekeeping, food and beverage, reception, spa, diving, activities, engineering, sales, and resort management. Island life is generally warm, outdoor-oriented, and community-focused, with beaches, markets, temples, and local festivals shaping everyday culture. Living costs vary: accommodation on smaller islands can be limited and expensive during peak season, while staff housing helps reduce expenses. Foreign nationals normally need an employer-sponsored Non-Immigrant B visa and a Thai work permit before legally working; requirements depend on nationality and position. Employers often assist with documents, accommodation, meals, and airport transfers. Check current rules with the Thai embassy and employer, and prepare for seasonal workloads, humidity, transport limitations, and respectful local customs.
