Destination Guide

The United Arab Emirates is not an island, but it offers a coastal lifestyle with beaches, waterfront resorts, desert activities, shopping, and lively international communities. Dubai and Abu Dhabi provide many hospitality opportunities in hotels, restaurants, resorts, bars, events, and tourism, while other emirates offer quieter and often lower-cost living. The culture combines Emirati traditions, Islamic customs, and a large expatriate population. Respectful dress and behavior are expected, especially during Ramadan and in public places. Most resort jobs provide a work visa sponsored by the employer; candidates should not work on a tourist visa. Benefits may include accommodation, meals, transport, health insurance, annual leave, and return airfare, but contracts vary. Relocating employees should budget for personal expenses, verify the written offer, and confirm accommodation, service charge, probation, and visa terms before travel.
