Destination Guide

Malaysia offers varied hospitality, tourism, sales, technology, finance, and service-sector opportunities, especially in Kuala Lumpur, Penang, Langkawi, Kota Kinabalu, and Johor Bahru. Although Kuala Lumpur is inland, it is a major gateway to Malaysia’s islands and coastal destinations. The culture is multicultural, combining Malay, Chinese, Indian, Indigenous, and international influences, with English widely used in business and tourism. Lifestyle ranges from affordable city living and excellent food to beaches, rainforests, and island travel. Foreign workers normally need an employer-sponsored employment pass, and approval depends on the role, qualifications, salary, and immigration rules. Relocation costs vary, but housing, transport, and everyday expenses are generally lower than in many major global cities. Check current visa requirements before accepting an offer.
