Destination Guide

The United Arab Emirates is not an island, but Abu Dhabi is a coastal emirate with beaches, waterfront promenades, and nearby islands such as Yas and Saadiyat. Hospitality offers many opportunities in hotels, restaurants, resorts, airlines, events, and tourism, particularly in Abu Dhabi and Dubai. The culture combines Emirati traditions with a large international community; modest dress, respect for religion, and awareness of local customs are important. Lifestyle options include beaches, shopping, desert excursions, museums, water sports, and diverse dining. Employers commonly sponsor work visas, arrange medical testing and residency processing, and may provide accommodation, meals, transport, insurance, and annual flights. Candidates should confirm the full benefits package, contract terms, probation period, and recruitment costs before relocating. Abu Dhabi is generally safe and well connected, though summer temperatures are extremely high and living expenses can be significant without employer-provided housing.
