Destination Guide

The United Arab Emirates is not an island but a federation of seven emirates, with Dubai and Abu Dhabi offering the largest concentration of hospitality, tourism, retail, aviation, finance, and technology jobs. The culture blends Emirati traditions with a highly international lifestyle; respectful dress, Islamic customs, and religious observances should be understood. Dubai offers beaches, dining, shopping, entertainment, desert activities, and a busy social scene, although housing and schooling can be expensive. Employers commonly sponsor work visas, residence permits, medical checks, and Emirates IDs for eligible overseas hires. Candidates should confirm whether accommodation, transport, meals, insurance, annual flights, and relocation support are included. A passport normally needs sufficient validity, and employment must be formally arranged before working. Public transport is good in major cities, while taxis and cars remain widely used. The climate is hot for much of the year, with milder winters.
