Destination Guide

The United Arab Emirates is not an island but a federation of seven emirates, with Dubai and Abu Dhabi offering the largest hospitality job markets. Opportunities are common in hotels, restaurants, tourism, retail, aviation, events, and wellness, especially for candidates with international service experience. UAE culture combines local Emirati traditions with a highly international workforce; respectful dress, punctuality, and awareness of Islamic customs are important. Dubai offers modern apartments, shopping, beaches, public transport, and active nightlife, although housing and schooling can be expensive. Employers usually sponsor a residence and work visa, arrange medical testing and an Emirates ID, and may provide accommodation or transport. Never work on a tourist visa. Before relocating, confirm salary, service charge, accommodation, meals, insurance, leave, flights, probation, and contract terms in writing. Candidates should also budget for deposits and initial living costs.
