Destination Guide

Qatar is a modern Gulf country rather than an island, centered around Doha and surrounded by beaches, desert landscapes, and cultural attractions. Hospitality, tourism, aviation, retail, healthcare, construction, education, and technology provide significant employment opportunities. The culture combines Islamic traditions with a highly international lifestyle; modest dress and respectful behavior are expected, particularly in public and religious settings. Doha offers modern malls, restaurants, museums, sports venues, and a growing arts scene, while the climate is very hot for much of the year. Most overseas employees need an employer-sponsored work visa and residence permit. Employers commonly assist with visa processing, medical checks, accommodation, transport, and relocation arrangements, depending on the contract. Candidates should confirm salary, benefits, working hours, probation terms, and housing before accepting an offer.
