Destination Guide

Sri Lanka offers hospitality opportunities in Colombo, resort areas such as Galle, Bentota, Negombo, Kandy, and the eastern coast, particularly in hotels, restaurants, tourism, and events. The country has a warm, tropical lifestyle, diverse cuisine, strong family and community traditions, and a generally welcoming culture. Colombo is the main commercial center, with better access to transport, shopping, healthcare, and international connections, although traffic and humidity can be challenging. Foreign employees normally need an employment or residence visa arranged with support from the hiring company; working without the correct authorization is not permitted. Candidates should confirm salary, service charge, accommodation, meals, transport, insurance, contract length, and repatriation terms before relocating. Sri Lanka is relatively affordable compared with many international destinations, but careful budgeting is useful because imported goods and housing in central Colombo can be expensive.
