Destination Guide

Phuket and nearby islands offer strong opportunities in resorts, restaurants, wellness, marine tourism, sales and guest experience. Naka Island is quieter and more exclusive, while Phuket provides shopping, nightlife, hospitals, international schools and broader employment options. Thai culture places importance on politeness, respect for elders, modest behavior and saving face; learning basic Thai is highly appreciated. Lifestyle ranges from peaceful beaches and outdoor activities to busy tourist areas, with warm weather year-round and a seasonal rainy period. Foreign nationals generally need a Thai Non-Immigrant B visa and a work permit arranged through an employer before working legally. Employers may assist with documents, but requirements vary by nationality and role. Relocating staff should budget for housing, transport, insurance and visa costs, and confirm whether the resort provides accommodation or a shuttle.
