Destination Guide

Japan offers strong opportunities in hospitality, tourism, technology, manufacturing, education, and international business, especially in Tokyo, Yokohama, Osaka, Kyoto, and resort areas. The culture values punctuality, respect, cleanliness, teamwork, and professional presentation. Daily life is safe and convenient, with excellent public transport, reliable services, diverse food, and a mix of modern cities and traditional communities. Yokohama provides a slightly more relaxed lifestyle than central Tokyo while remaining closely connected by train. Foreign workers generally need an employer-sponsored work visa, with the Engineer/Specialist in Humanities/International Services status commonly used for hotel sales roles. Applicants should confirm degree and experience requirements, and business-level Japanese may be important. Relocation costs, housing deposits, health insurance, pension, taxes, and language support should be discussed with the employer. Registration at the local municipality is required after arrival.
