Job Description

The Duty Technician (M&E) is responsible for the safe and reliable operation, inspection and repair of the hotel’s mechanical and electrical systems. Typical duties include responding to maintenance requests, carrying out preventive maintenance, troubleshooting air-conditioning, plumbing, electrical and building-services equipment, and recording completed work. Candidates should have relevant technical training, practical experience in hotel, commercial-building or facilities maintenance, and a sound understanding of workplace safety. Electrical or mechanical certifications are advantageous. The role requires a service-minded attitude, good communication, willingness to work shifts, weekends and public holidays, and the ability to respond calmly to urgent breakdowns. Marriott expects technicians to maintain professional standards, protect guest comfort, follow procedures and work effectively with other departments.
