Job Description

The Loss Prevention Officer helps protect guests, employees, property, and company assets at Khao Lak Marriott Beach Resort & Spa. Candidates should have prior experience in hotel security, loss prevention, or a related field, along with good observation, communication, and problem-solving skills. Physical fitness, reliability, discretion, and the ability to remain calm during emergencies are essential. Thai language skills are valuable, while English is generally expected for communicating with international guests and colleagues. First-aid, fire-safety, or security training would be an advantage.

Company Info

Khao Lak Marriott Beach Resort & Spa is a luxury beachfront resort operated under Marriott International, one of the world’s largest hospitality companies. Located in Phang Nga, southern Thailand, the resort caters to international leisure travelers, families, couples, and groups seeking a high-quality beach and wellness experience. Its facilities typically include guest rooms and suites, restaurants and bars, pools, spa services, event areas, recreational activities, and extensive guest-support operations. Marriott properties are known for structured service standards, professional training, international career opportunities, and employee benefits that may include staff meals, uniforms, transportation, accommodation assistance, and discounted stays, depending on the position. Working at the resort offers experience in a globally recognized hotel environment while providing exposure to Thailand’s growing luxury-tourism market.

Destination Guide

Khao Lak is a relaxed coastal destination in Phang Nga, rather than an island, with easy access to beautiful islands and marine parks such as the Similan and Surin Islands. Hospitality, food and beverage, diving, excursions, spa, housekeeping, engineering, and security jobs are the main employment opportunities. Local culture combines southern Thai traditions, Buddhist practices, seafood cuisine, and a welcoming tourism community. Lifestyle is quieter than Phuket, with beaches, national parks, waterfalls, markets, and a generally lower cost of living, although transport is more limited and a motorbike is useful. Foreign employees normally need a Thai Non-Immigrant B visa and work permit arranged with employer support; working on a tourist visa is not permitted. Relocating staff should budget for deposits, transport, healthcare, and document processing, and confirm accommodation, meals, service charge, working hours, and visa sponsorship before accepting an offer.
