Destination Guide

Australia offers strong opportunities in hospitality, tourism, hotel sales, events, marketing and management, particularly in Perth, Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, the Gold Coast and regional tourism areas. Workplace culture is generally direct, professional and team-oriented, with emphasis on reliability, customer service, safety and work-life balance. Perth provides a relaxed coastal lifestyle, warm summers, outdoor activities and a comparatively spacious environment, although housing and transport costs should be researched carefully. Most overseas workers need an appropriate visa, such as an employer-sponsored visa, skilled visa or eligible working-holiday visa; requirements depend on nationality, age, occupation and sponsorship. Applicants should check current rules through the Australian Department of Home Affairs. Relocating usually involves arranging accommodation, tax and banking registration, health insurance where required, and proof of work rights. Australia is geographically large, so travel between cities can be expensive and time-consuming.
