Destination Guide

The United Arab Emirates is not an island, but Dubai is a coastal destination built around areas such as Palm Jumeirah, beaches, marinas, and the Arabian Gulf. Hospitality offers strong opportunities in hotels, restaurants, beach clubs, tourism, events, and entertainment, particularly in Dubai and Abu Dhabi. The culture blends Emirati traditions with a large international community; respectful dress, public behaviour, and awareness of Islamic customs are important. Lifestyle options include beaches, shopping, restaurants, desert trips, water sports, and major cultural and sporting events. Summers are extremely hot and humid, while winters are sunny and comfortable. Most overseas employees require employer-sponsored residence and work visas. Employers commonly arrange medical testing, Emirates ID processing, and sometimes accommodation or transport. Before relocating, confirm salary, service charge, housing, probation, insurance, annual leave, and repatriation terms in writing.
