Destination Guide

The United Arab Emirates offers strong opportunities in hospitality, tourism, aviation, retail, events, construction, technology, and professional services, particularly in Abu Dhabi and Dubai. The culture combines Emirati traditions, Islamic values, and a highly international population. Visitors and residents should dress respectfully in public areas, observe local customs during Ramadan, and avoid public displays of disrespect or excessive behavior. Abu Dhabi provides a modern lifestyle with beaches, shopping malls, restaurants, cultural attractions, and desert activities, although summer heat can be intense. For most overseas hospitality workers, the employer arranges an employment entry permit, medical testing, Emirates ID, and residence visa after hiring. Confirm the contract, salary, accommodation, transport, insurance, annual leave, and probation terms before relocating. Costs vary significantly, so employer-provided housing or allowances can be important.
