Destination Guide

Spain’s main island destinations include the Balearic Islands—Mallorca, Ibiza, Menorca, and Formentera—and the Canary Islands, including Tenerife, Gran Canaria, Lanzarote, and Fuerteventura. Hospitality, tourism, restaurants, events, retail, wellness, and marine activities provide the largest number of jobs, with recruitment strongest before the summer season. Island life offers a relaxed outdoor lifestyle, beaches, local festivals, and strong regional food traditions, although housing can be expensive and seasonal work is common. EU, EEA, and Swiss citizens can work in Spain after registering and obtaining the required documentation. Non-EU applicants generally need an employer-sponsored work permit and visa before starting employment. Relocating candidates should confirm accommodation, transport, healthcare registration, tax arrangements, and whether the position is actually based on an island; The Madrid EDITION itself is located in mainland Madrid.
