Job Description

The Commis Chef supports the kitchen team with food preparation, basic cooking, plating, cleaning and maintaining food-safety standards. Typical requirements include commercial cookery training or relevant kitchen experience, a genuine interest in hospitality, good communication, reliable attendance and the ability to work efficiently under pressure. The successful candidate is expected to follow recipes and instructions, maintain excellent hygiene, minimise food waste, assist with stock rotation and contribute positively to a busy, multicultural team. Flexibility to work early mornings, evenings, weekends and public holidays is generally required. A willingness to learn, attention to detail and a professional approach are especially important in a hotel kitchen.
