Destination Guide

The United Arab Emirates is not an island, but Abu Dhabi is an island city connected to the mainland by bridges and surrounded by coastal communities. Hospitality offers strong opportunities in hotels, restaurants, resorts, catering, and events, especially in Abu Dhabi and Dubai. The culture blends Emirati traditions with a large international population; modest dress, courtesy, and respect for Islamic customs are important. Lifestyle includes beaches, shopping malls, desert excursions, cultural attractions, and year-round sunshine, although summers are extremely hot. Most overseas employees need an employer-sponsored employment visa. The company commonly arranges work authorization, medical testing, Emirates ID processing, and sometimes accommodation or transport. Candidates should verify contract terms, salary, benefits, probation, working hours, and recruitment fees before relocating. Abu Dhabi is generally safe, well connected, and convenient, but living costs can be high without employer-provided housing.
