Destination Guide

The United Arab Emirates is not an island country, but Dubai’s Palm Jumeirah is a man-made island and a major hospitality destination. Job opportunities are strong in hotels, restaurants, tourism, aviation, retail, events, and luxury services, especially for experienced international professionals. The culture blends Emirati traditions with a highly multicultural expatriate community; modest dress and respect for local customs are important. Lifestyle includes beaches, shopping, dining, entertainment, and year-round warm weather, although summers are extremely hot. Employment visas are normally sponsored by the employer, who usually arranges medical checks, residency processing, and work permits. Candidates should confirm accommodation, transport, insurance, flights, gratuity, and contract terms before relocating. Dubai is well connected, but living costs can be high, particularly for private housing.
