The United Arab Emirates is not an island but a federation of seven emirates, with Dubai offering extensive opportunities in hotels, restaurants, tourism, retail, aviation, events, and customer service. The culture combines Emirati traditions, Islamic values, and a highly international workforce. English is widely used in workplaces, while Arabic is the official language. Dubai offers modern housing, beaches, shopping, entertainment, desert excursions, and efficient public transport, although rent and summer temperatures can be high. Employers normally sponsor work visas, arrange medical testing and Emirates ID processing, and may provide accommodation or transport for hospitality roles. Candidates should secure a written offer before travelling, verify benefits and recruitment fees, and ensure their passport and qualifications are valid. Respectful dress and behavior are expected, particularly during Ramadan and in public places. Annual leave and flights home depend on the employment contract and UAE labor regulations.
