Destination Guide

Malaysia offers hospitality, security, food and beverage, engineering, housekeeping and management opportunities, especially in Kuala Lumpur, Putrajaya, Penang, Langkawi, Sabah and Sarawak. Putrajaya is not an island; it is a modern, planned city with parks, lakes and government buildings, while nearby Kuala Lumpur provides a busier urban lifestyle. Malaysian culture is multicultural, blending Malay, Chinese, Indian and Indigenous traditions, with English commonly used in hotels. Living costs are moderate, though central Kuala Lumpur is more expensive than Putrajaya. Public transport, ride-hailing and domestic flights make travel convenient. Foreign applicants should confirm whether the role accepts international candidates: employers normally arrange the appropriate Employment Pass or work authorization, and security positions may have citizenship, licensing or local-language requirements. Secure a written offer and approved visa before relocating, and budget for accommodation, deposits, insurance and daily transport.
