Destination Guide

The United Arab Emirates offers strong opportunities in hotels, restaurants, tourism, aviation, retail, finance, construction, technology, and healthcare, especially in Dubai and Abu Dhabi. The culture blends Emirati traditions with a large international community; modest dress, courtesy, and respect for Islamic customs are important. Life is modern and convenient, with excellent transport, shopping, beaches, and entertainment, although summers are extremely hot and living costs can be high. Most foreign employees require employer-sponsored residence and work visas. Employers commonly arrange medical checks, Emirates ID processing, and sometimes accommodation, transport, or flights. Before relocating, confirm salary, service charges, housing, insurance, working hours, probation, leave, and repatriation terms in writing. A passport with sufficient validity, verified qualifications, and legalized documents may be required. Dubai is well connected internationally, but newcomers should budget carefully and understand local employment and visa rules.
