Destination Guide

Malaysia offers hospitality, tourism, retail, technology, manufacturing, education, and healthcare opportunities, with Kuala Lumpur, Penang, Johor, Langkawi, Sabah, and Sarawak being important employment centers. Putrajaya is a modern, orderly city near Kuala Lumpur, known for government offices, parks, lakes, and a quieter lifestyle. Malaysia is culturally diverse, with Malay, Chinese, Indian, indigenous, and international communities; English is widely used in business and hotels, while Malay is the national language. Living costs are generally moderate, though Kuala Lumpur and resort islands can be more expensive. Public transport is strongest around major cities, while driving is useful elsewhere. Foreign workers usually need an employer-sponsored work permit and should confirm eligibility, medical checks, and immigration procedures before arrival. Employers may assist with accommodation, transport, and relocation, but contracts and benefits should be reviewed carefully.
