Destination Guide

The United Arab Emirates is not an island but a federation of seven emirates, with Dubai and Abu Dhabi offering the broadest hospitality job markets. Hotels, restaurants, resorts, bars, airlines, and event companies regularly recruit international staff, including bartenders and other food-and-beverage professionals. The culture is multicultural and generally welcoming, while Islamic customs should be respected, particularly during Ramadan and in dress and public behaviour. Dubai offers a modern, active lifestyle with beaches, shopping, nightlife, desert trips, and excellent transport, although rent and summer heat can be challenging. Employers usually sponsor a work visa, residence permit, medical examination, and Emirates ID after hiring; candidates should not work on a tourist visa. Confirm salary, accommodation, transport, meals, insurance, flight benefits, probation terms, and visa sponsorship before relocating. Recruitment fees should not be paid to an employer.
