Destination Guide

The United Arab Emirates is a modern Gulf country rather than an island, with strong employment opportunities in hospitality, tourism, facilities management, retail, aviation, and construction. Dubai offers a fast-paced, international lifestyle, excellent transport, modern amenities, beaches, shopping, and extensive dining and entertainment. The culture combines Islamic traditions with a highly multicultural workforce; respectful dress and behaviour are expected, especially during Ramadan and in public places. Most expatriate employees enter on an employer-sponsored residence visa, with the company usually arranging work permits, medical checks, Emirates ID processing, and sometimes accommodation or transport. Before relocating, candidates should confirm salary, housing, meals, insurance, flights, probation terms, and visa sponsorship in writing. Living costs can be high, particularly for rent, although hotel packages may reduce major expenses.
