Destination Guide

Japan offers hospitality, tourism, food service, retail, technology, and education opportunities, especially in Tokyo, Osaka, Kyoto, Okinawa, and major resort destinations. The culture values punctuality, respect, cleanliness, attention to detail, and teamwork. Tokyo provides excellent public transport, international dining, entertainment, and career development, although housing and daily expenses can be high. Workplaces may be structured and service expectations demanding, but employees can benefit from strong infrastructure and a safe, convenient lifestyle. Foreign nationals generally need an employer-sponsored work visa matching their occupation; hospitality roles commonly require the appropriate Engineer/Specialist in Humanities/International Services status, while senior managers may qualify under management-related categories. Applicants should confirm requirements with the employer and Japanese immigration authorities. Relocation typically involves securing housing, registering residency, obtaining health insurance, and arranging a residence card and bank account. Japanese ability is a major advantage for guest-facing hotel positions.
