Destination Guide

Japan offers hospitality opportunities in Tokyo, Osaka, Kyoto, Okinawa, Hokkaido, and other major destinations, especially in hotels, restaurants, tourism, and guest services. Japanese workplace culture values punctuality, teamwork, respect, attention to detail, and polite communication. Tokyo provides excellent public transport, international communities, and extensive career options, although housing and daily expenses can be high. Outside the capital, living may be quieter and more affordable, with easier access to nature. Foreign employees generally need an appropriate work visa before starting employment; hotel roles may qualify under a relevant work status depending on duties, education, and employer sponsorship. Employers commonly request a valid passport, qualifications, background checks, and language ability. Relocating usually involves securing housing, registering an address, obtaining health insurance, and arranging a residence card. Learning practical Japanese is highly recommended for workplace integration and everyday life.
