Job Description

The Food and Beverage Manager oversees the hotel’s restaurants, bar, banqueting and room-service operations. Requirements generally include previous supervisory or management experience in hotel food and beverage, strong knowledge of service standards, budgeting, stock control and workplace health and safety. Hospitality or business qualifications are advantageous, as are excellent English communication and rostering skills. The successful candidate is expected to lead and coach staff, maintain high guest-service standards, manage costs and revenue, coordinate events, resolve customer concerns and work closely with kitchen, front office and sales teams. Flexibility is important, as the role may involve evenings, weekends and public holidays in a busy city hotel.
