Destination Guide

The United Arab Emirates is not an island, but it is a popular destination for hospitality professionals, especially in Dubai and Abu Dhabi. Hotels, resorts, restaurants, catering companies, and tourism businesses regularly recruit chefs, supervisors, and service staff. The culture combines Emirati traditions with a highly international lifestyle; respectful dress and behavior are important, particularly during Ramadan and at religious sites. Dubai offers modern housing, shopping, beaches, public transport, and year-round entertainment, although summer temperatures are extremely high and living costs can be substantial. Employers commonly sponsor an employment visa, work permit, medical examination, Emirates ID, and sometimes accommodation, meals, transport, and flights. Candidates should confirm all benefits, probation terms, recruitment fees, and contract conditions before relocating. A passport valid for at least six months and authenticated qualifications may be required.
