Destination Guide

The United Arab Emirates is not an island, but it offers coastal living, modern cities and strong hospitality employment opportunities, especially in Dubai and Abu Dhabi. Hotels, restaurants, resorts, airlines, attractions and catering companies regularly recruit international workers. UAE culture combines Islamic traditions, Emirati heritage and a highly international lifestyle; respectful dress and behavior are important, particularly during Ramadan. Dubai offers beaches, shopping, dining, desert activities and extensive public transport, although rent and summer heat can be challenging. For most overseas hires, the employer arranges a residence visa, work permit, medical examination and Emirates ID after a formal offer. Employers may also provide accommodation or an allowance, meals, transport and flights, depending on the contract. Candidates should verify salary, working hours, benefits, probation terms and recruitment fees before relocating. A passport valid for travel and authenticated documents may be required.
