Destination Guide

The UAE is not an island but a federation of seven emirates, with Dubai offering especially strong opportunities in hotels, restaurants, tourism, retail, aviation, events, and leisure. The culture blends Emirati traditions with a large international community; modest dress in public areas, respect for religion, and awareness of local laws are important. Dubai has a modern, active lifestyle, excellent public transport, beaches, shopping, nightlife, and year-round hospitality employment, although summers are extremely hot. Employers normally sponsor an employment visa, residence permit, medical examination, and Emirates ID for overseas hires. Confirm who pays recruitment, visa, airfare, accommodation, and relocation costs before accepting an offer. Staff housing and transport are common in resort roles. Bring certified qualifications, passport documents, and police-clearance paperwork if requested, and budget for deposits and personal expenses during the first month.
