Known locally as the Sail Hotel because of its distinctive sail-shaped design on the Barceloneta waterfront, it offers stylish guest rooms, restaurants, bars, event facilities, spa services, and vibrant social spaces. W Hotels targets design-conscious and experience-focused travellers, combining international service standards with energetic local character. Employees work in a multicultural environment and are expected to create memorable, personalised guest experiences while maintaining professional hospitality standards. Destination Guide

Spain's main island destinations include Mallorca, Ibiza, Menorca, Tenerife, Gran Canaria, Lanzarote, and Fuerteventura. Tourism, hotels, restaurants, events, transport, wellness, and watersports provide regular employment, although many roles are seasonal and busiest from spring through autumn. The culture combines relaxed Mediterranean or Canarian lifestyles with strong regional traditions, festivals, seafood, and outdoor activities. Living costs vary significantly: Ibiza, Mallorca, and popular resort areas can be expensive, especially for accommodation. Mainland Spanish and English are useful; German and other European languages are valuable in tourist markets. EU, EEA, and Swiss citizens can work without a visa, subject to registration requirements. Non-EU applicants generally need an employer-sponsored work permit before starting employment. Relocation planning should include housing, local registration, healthcare, transport, and confirmation of contract, salary, and seasonal dates. Note that W Barcelona is in mainland Barcelona, not Spain's islands.
