Destination Guide

The United Arab Emirates is not an island but a federation of seven emirates, with Dubai and Abu Dhabi offering the largest concentration of hotel, tourism, retail, aviation, and business opportunities. The culture blends Emirati traditions with a highly international population; modest dress, respect for religion, and considerate behavior in public places are important. Lifestyle is modern and convenient, with excellent transport, restaurants, shopping, beaches, and year-round hospitality employment, although summers are extremely hot. Most foreign employees need employer-sponsored residence and work visas. The employer normally arranges the work permit, medical examination, Emirates ID, and residency procedures, while requirements can vary by nationality and contract. Candidates should confirm accommodation, transport, insurance, annual leave, airfare, and gratuity terms before relocating. Living costs, particularly rent, can be high, so staff housing or allowances are valuable.
