Destination Guide

Aruba offers hospitality opportunities in hotels, restaurants, casinos, tourism services, watersports, retail, transportation, and supporting business roles. English is widely used, while Dutch and Papiamento are official languages; Spanish is also common. The island has a warm, dry climate, reliable trade winds, beautiful beaches, and a relaxed but internationally minded lifestyle. Living costs, particularly rent and imported goods, can be high, so applicants should confirm salary, housing, transportation, and benefits before relocating. Foreign nationals generally need an employer-sponsored work permit and residence authorization before starting employment; requirements depend on nationality and contract, and working on a tourist entry is not permitted. Employers often assist with documentation, but the candidate should verify procedures with Aruba’s immigration authorities. Local transport includes buses and taxis, although a car may be useful. Respectful service, punctuality, adaptability, and cultural awareness are important in resort work.
