Company Info

Le Méridien Kuala Lumpur is an upscale hotel located in the city centre, close to Kuala Lumpur Sentral and major business, shopping and cultural attractions. The hotel operates under the Le Méridien brand, part of Marriott International, one of the world’s largest hospitality companies. Le Méridien properties focus on contemporary design, European-inspired hospitality, creative dining and distinctive guest experiences. The Kuala Lumpur hotel offers accommodation, restaurants, pastry and culinary operations, meetings and events, fitness facilities and other guest services. Working there can provide exposure to international hotel standards, structured training, multicultural teams and opportunities for career progression within Marriott’s global network. A pastry kitchen employee would typically work alongside chefs and culinary colleagues to support daily production for restaurants, banquets, room service and other hotel outlets.

Destination Guide

Malaysia is a multicultural country rather than a single island, combining the peninsula with Borneo and attractive islands such as Langkawi, Penang and Sabah’s coastal destinations. Hospitality opportunities are strongest in Kuala Lumpur, Penang, Langkawi, Johor Bahru, Kota Kinabalu and major resort areas. Employees can expect a mix of Malay, Chinese, Indian and international influences, warm weather, affordable food and generally convenient urban transport. Kuala Lumpur offers the widest career options, while island and resort locations provide a slower lifestyle but may have higher seasonal demand and fewer services. Foreign workers normally need an employer-sponsored employment pass or relevant work permit; the employer usually handles approval and immigration procedures. Candidates should obtain written confirmation of salary, accommodation, meals, medical coverage and permit costs before relocating. A valid passport, medical checks and authenticated qualifications may be required.
