Destination Guide

The United Arab Emirates is not an island, but Dubai is a coastal destination with beaches, waterfront resorts, and excellent transport links. Hospitality creates frequent opportunities for waiters, chefs, housekeeping staff, front-office professionals, spa teams, and supervisors, especially in Dubai and Abu Dhabi. The culture combines Emirati traditions with a highly international population; modest, respectful clothing and behavior are appreciated, particularly during Ramadan. Lifestyle options include beaches, shopping, desert trips, dining, nightlife, and major sporting events, although accommodation and daily expenses can be high. Most overseas employees require employer-sponsored residence and work visas. Employers commonly arrange medical checks, Emirates ID processing, health insurance, and sometimes accommodation or transport. Before relocating, confirm salary, service charge, working hours, accommodation, leave, airfare, and visa responsibilities in writing. A passport valid for at least six months is normally required.
