Destination Guide

Japan offers strong opportunities in hotels, tourism, restaurants, events, technology, education, and international business, especially in Tokyo, Yokohama, Osaka, Kyoto, and resort areas. The country’s main islands are Honshu, Hokkaido, Kyushu, and Shikoku, with many smaller islands offering resort and hospitality work. Japanese culture values punctuality, politeness, teamwork, cleanliness, and careful attention to detail. Yokohama provides an urban lifestyle close to Tokyo, with excellent rail connections, waterfront attractions, diverse restaurants, and generally high living costs. Foreign employees normally need an employer-sponsored work visa, with the appropriate status depending on the role and qualifications. Applicants should confirm sponsorship, contract terms, housing support, taxes, health insurance, and Japanese-language expectations before relocating. Learning everyday Japanese can significantly improve workplace communication and daily life.
