Company Info

Phuket Marriott Resort & Spa, Merlin Beach is a beachfront Marriott resort on Tri-Trang Beach, near Patong, Phuket. The property offers guest rooms and suites, restaurants and bars, swimming pools, a spa, meeting facilities and family-oriented recreation. It is part of Marriott International, one of the world’s largest hotel companies, operating a broad portfolio of luxury, premium and select-service brands across many countries. The resort serves leisure travelers, families, groups, weddings, events and corporate clients, making sales and commercial roles important to maintaining occupancy and revenue. Employees generally work within Marriott’s structured standards for guest service, sales performance, professional development and ethical business conduct. The resort’s location combines access to Phuket’s major tourism areas with a quieter beachfront setting, while its cluster-sales structure may involve business generation for more than one hotel or market segment.

Destination Guide

Phuket is Thailand’s largest island and a major tourism and hospitality center, with job opportunities in hotels, resorts, restaurants, spas, retail, marine activities, events and travel services. Sales, revenue, front-office and guest-relations roles are especially common, although competition can be strong during the high season. Thai culture places importance on politeness, respect, family and calm communication; learning basic Thai is valuable. The lifestyle offers beaches, diving, island trips, nightlife, international food and a relatively active expatriate community, but traffic, heat and seasonal tourism fluctuations should be considered. Foreign nationals normally need a Thai employer to sponsor a Non-Immigrant B visa and work permit before legally working; requirements vary by nationality and position. Employers may assist with documentation, but candidates should confirm details with Thai authorities. Housing ranges from affordable local apartments to expensive areas near beaches, so budgeting carefully and checking transport options before relocating is recommended.
