Destination Guide

Spain’s main island destinations are the Balearic Islands—Mallorca, Ibiza, Menorca, and Formentera—and the Canary Islands, including Tenerife, Gran Canaria, Lanzarote, and Fuerteventura. Hospitality creates many opportunities in hotels, restaurants, resorts, events, wellness, and guest services, especially during the summer season. The Balearics are known for Mediterranean culture, beaches, nightlife, sailing, and historic towns, while the Canaries offer year-round mild weather, volcanic landscapes, and a relaxed outdoor lifestyle. Rent can be high in Ibiza, Mallorca, and popular resort areas, so shared accommodation is common. EU, EEA, and Swiss citizens can work with registration requirements; non-EU applicants generally need an employer-sponsored work permit or an appropriate internship visa. Candidates should confirm placement rules, insurance, accommodation, transport, and local registration before relocating.
