Destination Guide

Spain’s main island job markets are the Balearic Islands, including Mallorca, Menorca and Ibiza, and the Canary Islands, including Tenerife, Gran Canaria, Lanzarote and Fuerteventura. Logistics, airport handling, hospitality, retail, tourism, delivery and warehouse jobs are common, with seasonal demand especially strong before and during summer. Island life offers a warm climate, outdoor activities, beaches and a relaxed social culture, although housing can be expensive and limited in tourist areas. Spanish is important for daily life and many employers; English and other languages are valuable in tourism and international logistics. EU, EEA and Swiss citizens can work in Spain after completing registration requirements. Non-EU applicants generally need an employer-sponsored work permit and visa before starting. Candidates should confirm the exact island, contract, accommodation, transport and working hours with DHL before relocating.
