Destination Guide

The Philippines offers strong opportunities in logistics, shared services, aviation, IT, tourism, and customer support, particularly in Metro Manila, Cebu, Clark, and Davao. English is widely used in business, while Filipino and regional languages are common in daily life. The culture is generally friendly, family-oriented, and relationship-focused; punctuality and professional communication are important at work. Manila provides the widest employment market but has heavy traffic and higher living costs. Cebu and Clark offer growing business communities and a more relaxed lifestyle, while many islands provide affordable living and access to beaches and outdoor activities. Foreign workers normally need an employer-sponsored work permit and appropriate visa, commonly a 9(g) employment visa; requirements should be confirmed with Philippine authorities. Relocation planning should include housing, healthcare, transport, taxes, and employer support.
