Destination Guide

Malaysia offers opportunities in logistics, warehousing, manufacturing, technology, tourism, finance, and shared services. Major employment centres include Kuala Lumpur and Selangor, Penang, Johor, Sabah, and Sarawak. The country combines Malay, Chinese, Indian, and indigenous cultures, with diverse food, festivals, and welcoming communities. Lifestyle costs are moderate, although Kuala Lumpur and Penang are generally more expensive than smaller cities. Malaysia has attractive islands and coastal destinations such as Langkawi, Penang, Tioman, Perhentian, and parts of Sabah. Foreign employees usually require an employer-sponsored Employment Pass, while Malaysian citizens do not need a work visa. Relocating candidates should confirm sponsorship, qualifications, medical requirements, accommodation, transport, and tax obligations with DHL. English is widely used in business, while Bahasa Malaysia is useful for daily life. Public transport is strongest in major urban areas, so warehouse locations may require a car or shuttle.
