Destination Guide

Ireland offers strong opportunities in banking, financial services, technology, pharmaceuticals, professional services and multinational operations, with Dublin as the main employment hub. Irish workplaces are generally collaborative, informal and communication-focused, while punctuality, initiative and relationship building are valued. Dublin provides extensive public transport, restaurants, culture and international communities, although housing can be expensive and competitive. Cork, Galway and Limerick may offer a quieter lifestyle and lower costs in some areas. EU, EEA and Swiss citizens can work without a visa. Non-EEA applicants usually need an employment permit and, where applicable, an entry visa; eligibility depends on salary, occupation and employer. Candidates should verify current rules with Ireland’s Department of Enterprise and Immigration Service before relocating. Plan accommodation, tax registration, healthcare and banking arrangements well in advance.
