Job Description

The First Line Manager – Transport leads day-to-day transport operations, coordinating drivers, vehicles, schedules, and customer requirements while ensuring safe, timely, and cost-effective delivery. Typical requirements include experience in transport, logistics, distribution, or fleet operations; team leadership ability; knowledge of health and safety, driver compliance, and transport legislation; and strong communication and problem-solving skills. A valid UK driving licence and familiarity with transport-management systems may be expected. DHL will look for a hands-on, organised manager who can motivate colleagues, monitor performance, manage operational issues, support continuous improvement, and maintain high service standards in a fast-paced environment.
