Company Info

Mercure Jakarta Gatot Subroto is a midscale hotel operated under Mercure, part of Accor, a major international hospitality group. The hotel is located in South Jakarta, a busy commercial and business district with access to offices, shopping areas, dining venues, and transport links. Mercure properties combine internationally recognised service standards with local Indonesian character, offering accommodation, food and beverage services, meeting facilities, and guest support. Employees generally work in a multicultural environment and may receive access to Accor training, career development, staff meals, uniforms, and employee accommodation or discounts, depending on the position and local policy. The hotel serves business travellers, leisure guests, groups, and event visitors, so strong hospitality skills, teamwork, reliability, and attention to guest satisfaction are important.

Destination Guide

Indonesia offers hospitality, tourism, retail, technology, education, and service-sector opportunities across Java, Bali, Sumatra, Sulawesi, and other islands. Jakarta, on Java, has the broadest corporate and hotel employment market, while Bali is especially popular for resort, wellness, restaurant, and tourism work. Indonesian culture values politeness, community, respect for elders, and religious diversity; workplace communication is usually courteous and relationship-focused. Lifestyle varies from busy urban living in Jakarta to a slower, more outdoor-oriented pace in Bali and other destinations. Living costs depend greatly on location, with central Jakarta and popular Bali areas generally more expensive. Foreign workers normally need employer sponsorship, an approved work permit, and the appropriate limited-stay visa; working on a tourist visa is not permitted. Relocating employees should confirm contract terms, accommodation, healthcare, taxes, and visa responsibilities before arrival.
