Destination Guide

Indonesia offers hospitality opportunities across Bali, Java, Lombok, Batam, and other resort destinations. Bali has especially strong demand for hotel, restaurant, wellness, events, and guest-relations professionals, although competition and living costs are high in popular areas such as Nusa Dua, Seminyak, and Canggu. Balinese culture values courtesy, community, religious traditions, and respectful dress and behavior. Life can offer beaches, outdoor activities, excellent food, and a relaxed social atmosphere, while traffic, humidity, seasonal tourism, and limited public transport may require adjustment. Foreign nationals generally need an employer-sponsored work authorization and appropriate KITAS or related immigration status; tourist visas do not permit employment. Employers may assist with permits, accommodation, meals, insurance, and relocation, but these benefits should be confirmed in writing. Research contract terms, tax obligations, healthcare, housing, and local regulations before moving.
